Vision for Student Success

Helping your Child and Every Child Succeed
![New Programs](http://ih.constantcontact.com/fs134/1102813168241/img/277.png?a=1114461377090) Our Superintendent and our School Board have a vision and it is called the SMMUSD Vision for Student Success. When this Vision is implemented in the 2014-2015 school year, it will mean that all elementary grades will get high quality arts programs, discretionary enrichment funds, smaller class size for 2nd and 3rd grades, instructional assistants, literacy coaches and professional development for teachers and staff. At the secondary level, implementation of the Vision for Student Success means funding for discretionary enrichment programs, professional development to attract and retain the best teachers and staff, increased staff to support student needs and Reading and Math assessment tools. Parents, teachers, staff, businesses and the entire community are working to raise $4 million annually to make this vision a reality. Donate now to help your child, and every child, succeed!

$50,000! That's what School Board President, Laurie Lieberman, and her husband, Chris Harding are giving the Ed Foundation over 5 years. And the law firm of Harding Larmore Kutcher & Kozal, LLP is matching this personal gift, making the total $100,000!! When businesses and individuals work together, our students benefit!

The Education Foundation is growing! Last spring we added 2 dedicated fundraising staff, requiring us to find larger quarters. Fortunately, we did not have to move far! A beautiful office space, formerly a tile showroom with elegantly tiled floors and walls, became available right next to our old office. Thanks to the extreme generosity ![](http://ih.constantcontact.com/fs134/1102813168241/img/276.jpg?a=1114461377090) of DAVE KORADE of KORADE & ASSOCIATES, we were able to add four offices and a conference area for the cost of the materials. Dave donated his time and expertise to build the space we call home. We are deeply indebted to several other community businesses that donated their services to us. Like Dave, these friends of the Foundation understood that we needed a larger space to accomplish a larger goal and volunteered their services. Thank you to RALPH MECHUR ARCHITECTS, TASLIMI CONSTRUCTION, SUNDT CONSTRUCTION, SIMPLEX and Terry Kamibayashi and the SMMUSD MAINTENANCE team(fabulous HVAC technicians, plumbers, carpenters, electricians, locksmith, painters and skilled maintenance workers) and the IT department who graciously donated their services to design and build our new office. The address is 1645 16th Street. Come visit!
