Ecuadorians need our help
As many of you know, a little over a week ago Ecuador was hit by a magnitude 7.8 earthquake, killing over 600 people and injuring many thousands. Property damage is estimated to run into the billions of dollars, a staggering amount for this economically challenged South American country.

A full recovery seems impossible without the generous aid of caring individuals throughout the world.

An effective response

To respond to international disasters such as this, HarvestCall works through other Christian disaster aid organizations that we've evaluated and successfully worked with in the past. They have the manpower, systems and offices in place to properly assess and mobilize relief in the most effective manner possible after the initial chaos subsides.

For Ecuador, your contributions to HarvestCall's Disaster Fund will be used for:
  • Interagency Emergency Health Kits - each kit contains enough medicines and supplies to treat 10,000 people for three months.
  • Hygiene Kits - including soap and other personal care items to prevent the spread of disease.
  • Basic Needs Packages - has sheets, towels, cooking essentials and household goods for people who've lost their homes.

How you can help
You can help bring relief, delivered in the name of Christ, to tens of thousands of our neighbors in South America.

And please don't forget to pray. The victims and the relief workers will need grace to work through the long recovery and healing process. Pray that God can use this tragedy to open hearts to the gospel, creating beauty from ashes.

Over the years, it's been humbling to see how our brotherhood has responded to disasters with tremendous outpourings of love. It is a reflection of Christ's great love for us.

Thank you for responding in this time of need, however the Lord leads. The people of Ecuador are grateful for your prayers and contributions.

In Christian Love,
John Huber
