As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Gal 6:10

For over thirty years, World Relief has helped vulnerable souls in Jamaica: the deaf, at-risk children, and the aged.

One particular instance comes to mind.

In an infirmary in Manchester, Jamaica, lives an elderly Christian man named Eston. He spent a lifetime mentoring young people and giving witness to the Love of Jesus Christ. Now unable to care for himself, he still radiates the Christian message to all who visit him, as our World Relief missionaries and visitors regularly do. In the country of Jamaica, many elderly souls like Eston must rely on the generosity of organizations like World Relief for their care and keeping. His infirmary is one that World Relief materially supports.

We are thankful for our brotherhood's contributions to World Relief's work in Jamaica as we assist local ministries there through financial assistance, work teams, in-country missionaries, and material assistance.

This effort requires a number of committed volunteers in support of the effort, from preparation and shipping, to the administrative support required for this ministry.

... Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Matthew 25:40

  Jamaica Operations Coordinator Needed

Do you have a heart for the vulnerable in the Caribbean? Could you devote two weeks each year to be in Jamaica helping facilitate World Relief's outreach efforts? If so, please prayerfully consider the following volunteer opportunity:

The Jamaica Operations Committee is seeking a volunteer to work with them in supporting our in-country missionaries, coordinating work teams, and coordinating material shipments from the Goodfield Distribution Center. This position is the primary contact for our missionaries in Jamaica and acts as a liason between them and the World Relief Caribbean Committee.

Jamaica

You will go on two week-long trips to beautiful Jamaica each year for program evaluation and facilitation. In addition, this volunteer will become a participating member of the World Relief Caribbean Committee, attending three meetings each year. Other than that, the time commitment should average about five hours a week.

If you feel the Lord nudging you to serve, are a member in good standing of the Apostolic Christian Church and have the support of your home elder, then please Email
