Thank you for your continued support for the Philippines typhoon disaster.  With your help, World Relief is providing cash grants to assist four international Christian relief organizations with the expenses of purchasing items for the disaster, as well as to provide help with the shipping costs.

  Summary of Response Activities    

World Relief has received reports from these relief organizations. The following is a summary of their response activities. They have shipped, or will be shipping:
  • Six Interagency Emergency Health Kits (IEHKs), each containing antibiotics and other essential medicines and supplies for disaster relief. Each kit will provide emergency aid to 10,000 people for 3 months.  (These IEHK's are typically air lifted to the disaster area.)
  • One 40 ft container of cleaning supplies, water, bleach, dust masks, diapers, toilet paper, paper plates, pediatric electrolyte drinks for dehydrated children and more.
  • Three 40 ft containers of pharmaceuticals, and medical supplies like bandages, crutches, orthotic braces, and such.
  • Two additional Emergency Pharmaceutical packages
  • One - 40' shipping container of relief items (water filters, emergency beds, hygiene products, food and medical supplies)
  • Two 40 ft containers of stage 2 baby food

  Ways to Contribute   



This major disaster will very likely require additional relief support, both for the immediate needs, as well as in the future to help the affected population in rebuilding their lives.

We have asked these organizations to report back to us their progress and any additional support needed. We hope to have these initial evaluation reports in time for the next World Relief Board meeting in December 2013.
