Greetings!

Yarnell Arizona

On June 28th, lightning ignited a wildfire near the small town of Yarnell, Arizona. Pushed by strong winds, flames quickly moved through the drought stricken forest consuming everything in its path.

Yarnell Arizona The fire burned for nearly two weeks charring over eight thousand acres and destroying around 130 structures.

Some of these; homes of elderly couples living on Social Security, were uninsured. In addition to the loss of property, this fire also claimed the lives of nineteen fire fighters from nearby Prescott.

Work Teams Needed Starting Late September

Yarnell Arizona

Even before the fire was officially contained, local volunteers began making plans to assist those who had no means to rebuild their destroyed and uninsured homes.

Yarnell Arizona Work is expected to begin by the end of September with hopes of completing eleven houses before the end of the year. We have an opportunity to assist in this labor of love by giving of our time and talents in this rebuilding project.

Sincerely,
