Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.

Matthew 28:19-20

Greetings!

The primary purpose for the Servant Fund is to allow our brethren serving in the mission field the opportunity to focus on those they were sent to help. Many of those serving in mission work outside the brotherhood are required to raise their own financial support, which often takes up to three months annually.

Hospital Lumiere

The Servant Fund was established to provide a method to provide funds for brethren sent so they can concentrate their time serving rather than fund raising. Anyone sent by the Apostolic Christian Church to serve for an extended period of time is provided a small monthly stipend to provide for their basic financial needs.

Magdalena

Currently there are 15 couples/families and 14 single brethren who are financially supported through the Servant Fund. These individuals are serving in Mexico, Haiti, and Jamaica, and are providing support to communities, churches, orphanages, deaf schools and a hospital.

If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honor.
John 12:26

Reflections from a Family Receiving Support

Hospital Lumiere There are many concerns and provisions required for a family moving into a cross-cultural environment. Our family has been profoundly blessed by the support of the brethren of the Apostolic Christian Church. Through spiritual, emotional, and logistical support, shared with us in love, our family has been blessed. And financial provision has also been given to help cover our expenses.

Again, in this we experienced the love of the brotherhood. During our visits back to the States, we were able to focus on family and fellowship, rather than travel and fundraising. We don't know who is specifically providing the support, which is a blessing. It is the body of Christ and it directs our gratitude to the true Provider.

On behalf of all being supported by the Servant Fund, we thank the brotherhood for sharing God's gifts in such a way that allows those serving to focus on loving others in Jesus name.

Thoughts from a Mother Serving at CVE

Magdalena The other day I walked past our little girls' room and heard them playing "church." They were singing hymns with their babies. It brought back a flood of memories as I recalled doing the same as a young girl. I have never adequately appreciated the great heritage of faith I have been given. We see how the lack of faith has caused great damage in the families of the children we serve, and for this reason we are here.

We are overcome with gratitude as we consider all the parts of the body required to make it possible for these little children in Mexico to grow up in a home filled with faith. It takes a caring church to send, prayer warriors to intercede, supporters to provide and those to go. We are most blessed by so many believers each doing their part to serve our amazing God... and we are so thankful.

You Can Help Those Serving By...

Ixtlan Church

  • Monthly donations to the Servant Fund.
  • Church collections. These provide an opportunity for congregations to support the work. In order to fulfill the long-term commitments of those serving, all Apostolic Christian churches are encouraged to take a general collection annually.
  • Having your family "sponsor" someone in the field by providing regular contributions to the Servant Fund.
Here is a list of those currently being supported by the Servant Fund. Funds donated to support specific individuals are applied toward the needs for that brother or sister. Funds donated in an individual's name that exceed that person's need are used to support others.

Where Can I Send My Financial Support?

Contributions can be designated for:
  • An individual: Your donations can be designated for a specific individual who has been called to serve.
  • A project area: Your donations can be designated for a specific project area or building effort that you have learned about through church announcements, church bulletins and the Silver Lining.
  • General Fund: For missionaries in general, to be used where there is the greatest need.
