Greetings!

CullmanBeginning on January 7, 2013 and continuing through March there will be opportunities to serve in Cullman, Alabama. The project will involve building new homes and repairing damaged homes for victims of the April 2011 tornadoes. Displaced families need help to rebuild their shattered dreams.

Cullman

There is great need and the opportunities to serve are many. Both skilled tradesmen and unskilled workers are needed. There is a job for every willing heart. 

  Opportunity to Serve in Cullman, Alabama 

Cullman  

The project in Cullman will involve repairing homes damaged by tornadoes as well as complete rebuilds for those whose homes were totally destroyed.  

 

Volunteers will be housed in dormitory style housing at Stoney Creek Camp near the town of Cullman. Meals will be provided Sunday evening through Friday evening at the camp. One night during each week will be a "night out" when volunteers will go to a restaurant for dinner, a "Dutch Treat."   

 

Volunteers are encouraged to worship with the brethren in Athens, Alabama at the beginning of their work week. Cullman is approximately one hour south of the Athens Apostolic Christian Church.

  • 50 Volunteers needed each week
  • Skills needed: carpenters, electricians, plumbers, drywall hangers and finishers, painters, housecleaners and kitchen helpers.
  • Participants must be at least fourteen years old to serve on a work team.
  • Dormitory type housing provided
  • All meals provided
  • Wonderful opportunity for fellowship
