February 2014
ISSUE 40

What an old fashioned winter this has been: sub-zero temperatures; snow, snow, and more snow with groundhog Phil forecasting six weeks more of the same. So, what's a guide to do? Prep and more prep for the 2014 Muskegon River fly fishing season, that's what. Flies are ordered, Don is tying his special guide flies, Jay is running winter trout trips when Mother Nature allows; Steve is booking float trips and stays at the Muskegon River Lodge; and Dave is wrapping up the Lodge books for 2013, all the while working with Lodge staff to ready the Lodge for our 2014 guests. Toss in some fly fishing presentations to clubs by Jay and Steve, and you have a pretty good idea of what we've been up to. Only guide Tom has sneaked away to take a "Senior Privilege" break in a warmer place.

All of which are sure signs that it's time to start thinking of fly fishing with us RiverQuest guides and booking a stay at the Muskegon River Lodge.  We're working hard to give you the best in fly fishing and are looking forward to renewing friendships with past customers and to meeting people new to RiverQuest and the Muskegon River Lodge. We host men, women, and young people of all fly fishing levels of proficiency and experience. Most important, know this: every one of our customers receives the same best effort and attention from our guides, whether the customers have fly fished the world over or have never touched a fly rod. We love to teach and to share one of American's great fly fishing rivers, the Muskegon.  Give us a call to talk over what we have available; no obligation whatsoever. Here's hoping we'll be greeting one another soon.
