Greetings!

"We take care of our health, we lay up money, we make our roof tight and our clothing sufficient, but who provides wisely that he shall not be wanting the best property of all-friends?"
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Certainly our RiverQuest and Muskegon River customers-our friends-recently have "provided wisely" as Emerson urges because they have been most gracious in their willingness to reschedule float trips and lodging due to the historically high river levels of weeks past that rendered the Muskegon unfishable.  Truly, we are blessed with their friendship. We value their support; we respect it; and appreciate their loyalty to the max.

As a result, we've come through a pretty significant disruption in our normal April/May spring steelhead season well.  The unusually cold weather that accompanied the torrential rains kept the river temperatures cooler than normal, thereby encouraging steelhead to linger longer into May than they normally do.  So, even now, the start of the second week of May, we are enjoying excellent steelhead fishing with the bonus of our resident trout becoming increasingly active as well.  Happy we are for all and totally revved for the wonderful fly fishing now and in the months to come.  Thanks to one and all!
