The Course is taught by a team of trained NAMI peer volunteers who know first hand what it is like to live with a mental illness.

 

 

  • Gain Knowledge of how to manage and cope
  • Learn how to be an active participant in your treatment plan
  • Learn how to strengthen interpersonal relationships
  • Share experiences with peers who are working toward recovery
  • Gain further insight into mental illness

NAMI Family to Family Course

 "This class changed my life", stated a recent Family to Family course participant.
 
Have you ever felt tired, sad, frustrated, angry or powerless because your relative has a mental illness? Come learn with others in a confidential setting ways to better understand and cope more effectively.
 
12 WEEK NAMI Family to family Education Program
 
Free for family members and partners of individuals with a mental illness.
 
This course is taught by a team of trained NAMI Family to Family volunteers who understand what it is like to have a loved one struggling with one of these brain disorders: depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, Borderline Personality Disorder, and any other mental illness.
 
NAMI Family to Family Program has been added to the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) National Registry of evidence-based Programs and Practices.
 
Classes start September 25, 2013
Day: Wednesday
Time: 6:15 pm to 9:00 pm

NAMI Connections Classes

  


NAMI Connections Support Group is a weekly recovery support group for people living with mental illness in which people learn from each others' experiences, share coping strategies, and offer each other encouragement and understanding. Meetings are held weekly on Sunday night and all who are diagnosed with a mental illness are invited to attend. No registration is necessary. Learn more: Connections.
