Greetings!

January means 'Janus's month' and became the first month of the year in circa 700BC when Numa Pompilius, a Roman King, added it and February to the calendar. Janus is the Roman god of beginnings and endings, he is also the god of gateways, gates, doors and doorways.

January is a month of new beginnings for NAMI Clermont County. We are offering our Family to Family Class this month. We encourage anyone who has a loved one with a mental illness to take this life changing class where you will learn about mental illness as you find comradery and friendship.

Please check out the list of speakers and topics we will have over the next few months. We hope you will join us at the monthly family support group meeting to gain additional insight about mental illness.

NAMI Trainings are available over the next few months. NAMI Clermont County changes lives through the dedication of our volunteers. Give an hour a month, become a teacher, join the Board. Now more than ever we need families and friends helping to spread the word about mental illness.

I hope you have a joyful new year and I look forward to seeing all of you at a meeting or support group soon!
