WFPC Debt Elimination

As you continue to prayerfully consider how much you are willing to commit to help eliminate the $1.3M debt of WFPC, please remember the following.  Your contributions should be above the general fund contributions in which you have already pledged. There are several ways to make your pledge. You may turn in your commitment cards in the Sunday morning offerings, mail to the Church office or turn in to Debbie Choplin's box in the administrative area. We would like to receive your commitments by February 15 so we can monitor our progress. If you have already pledged thank you. As you may make your contributions you may do so in several ways, by check in the church offering or you may make your contributions on line on WFPC's website.  If you are contributing appreciated stock, mutual funds etc., please call the church office for directions of how to make the transfer. We currently have about 75 families that have committed a little over $350,000 for the debt  elimination. Thank you for your generosity.

 Ministry To Military

The following email letter was received from one of the recent recipients of a gift box from the WFPC Men's group:

Ms. Deidra Powell,

Just wanted to take some time and thank you deeply and graciously
for the great care package we received from you.  I've received the candies and granola bars but what was special to me are the socks (I've managed to put many holes on my own) and the feet warmers.  It's been -30 degrees here most days and anything to keep up the body heat is greatly appreciated.
I was hoping since your letter offers if you can please send one more package to a young man here that I serve with.  His name is Raymond and his address is the same. This young man is from India and seems to thrive on two things...curry and dark, dark chocolate.  Of course, anything you manage is greatly appreciated.  Thank you so much
again.

Greetings!

It is the time of year when our adult mission team is making plans for our annual mission trip.  Again this year Presbyterian Disaster Assistant has paired us with Morning Star Presbyterian Church in Bayville, New Jersey.  Last year we had enough participants to split into two groups who helped some older adults restore their homes following the damage caused by Super Storm Sandy.  In addition to the work, and equally important, is the connection made with the home owners, experiencing their gratitude and listening to their life stories.  A valuable side effect that has proven to be very important is the relationships that are developed with our team members,  the conversation and fellowship are assets that have proven to be of great benefit  to both WFPC and the individuals involved.

We have learned that some of last year's team will be unable to go this year so we need additional people to fill out our roster.  If you feel called to this type of mission work, please, prayerfully consider joining this year's WFPC mission team.

Peace,

Rick Mohlmann

Elder for Personnel

 Women's Ministry Quiz!

Are you a woman?  If yes, are you friendly?  If yes, are you at least one of the following: organized, enthusiastic, willing, or able?  If yes, we need you!  The Women's Ministry Team is planning some fun events and outreach for 2015.  We had a great time last year at the Ladies' Lemonade and Vintage Christmas.  If you would enjoy working with these kinds of activities, we would love to have you on our team!  All talents are welcome - we can use anything from more involved activity planners to preparations to some extra helping hands at our events.  Our first event will be coming up in March, so if you would like to join us or have questions, please contact Leslie Olmo at (919)435-0818 or
