The Board of Education will hold a Regular Board Meeting on Thursday, June 25, 2015, in the Board Room of the Castro Valley Unified School District (4400 Alma Avenue).  The agenda includes the following items:

Reports on:
  • California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) System;
  • English Language Development, (ELD);
  • Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS);
  • Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team (FCMAT) review of the Special Education Program;
  • Fiscal Crisis Management and Assistance Team (FCMAT) review of the Child Nutrition (Food Services) Program; 
  • Adopt a Resolution to Excuse the Absences of Trustees Barbieri and Howard at the June 11th meeting; and
  • Adopt the Minutes of the Regular Board Meeting of June 11, 2015.

Consent Agenda includes:

  • Approve Purchase Order Reports for June 4, 2015 through June 16, 2015;
  • Approve Personnel Report;
  • Approve Student Teaching Agreement with San Jose State University;
  • Approve Budget Adjustments #54 - #57;
  • Approve Consolidated Application (Con AP) Spring 2015 Data Collection;
  • Approve Castro Valley Adult and Career Education List of Proposed Apportionment Courses for 2015-2016;
  • Approve California State Preschool Program and Self Evaluation 2014-2015 Annual Report;
  • Approve Title I Schoolwide Application for Marshall Elementary School;
  • Approve the 2015-2017 Local Education Agency Plan (LEAP) Addendum;
  • Authorize SELPA Director to Sign Agreements;
  • Approve Out-of-State Conferences and Overnight Field Trips;
  • Adopt Resolutions: 
    • Regarding Temporary Expansion of Signatory Limits;
    •  Delegating Authority to the Superintendent and/or Designee to Solicit and Accept Bids for Summer Facility Improvement Projects at Various Sites;
    •  Amendment to the Designated Employee Signatures List;
    • Disposal of Obsolete and/or Surplus Property; and
    • Approve California State Preschool Program Contract;
  • Accept Donations to the District;
  • Adopt Revised 2015-2016 Course of Study Outlines for Canyon Middle School; and
  • Reports by the CSEA President, CVTA President, Superintendent and Board Members.

The Board of Education normally meets the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m.  Meetings may be moved due to the school calendar or other conflicts. Please check the calendar of board meetings for the most current information or contact the District Office (510.537.3000).  

 

Agendas for Regular Board Meetings are posted at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting.  Agendas for Special Board Meetings are posted at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting.  The agenda and the board packet are posted on the district website.
