Vivienne Paratore Appointed
Chabot Elementary Principal
At its meeting on May 28th, the Board of Education appointed Vivienne Paratore as the Principal of Chabot Elementary School. Superintendent Jim Negri stated, "I am very pleased that we were able to hire an experienced principal for Chabot Elementary School. She comes to the district with outstanding recommendations regarding her leadership. Ms. Paratore's leadership and experience will benefit both Chabot and the district."
Since 2013, Ms. Paratore has served as Principal of Forest Park Elementary School in the Fremont Unified School District with 997 students. Previously, Ms. Paratore served as Principal at Warwick Elementary School (2005-2013), John F. Kennedy High School (2001-2005) as well as a high school assistant principal and high school English teacher in the Fremont USD.
Ms. Paratore holds an administrative credential and MA in Educational Administration from San Jose State University as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Birmingham, UK.
Ms. Paratore went through three rounds of interviews that included Chabot staff and parents as well as site and district administrators. "I was impressed by Vivienne's passion for the success of every student," noted Superintendent Negri.
Ms. Paratore will be replacing Terry Hoops who is retiring at the end of the school year after 38 years in the Castro Valley Unified School District.
Ms. Paratore is a Castro Valley resident who looks forward to being active in the community.
