The Board of Education will hold a Regular Board Meeting on Thursday, May 28, 2015, in the Board Room of the Castro Valley Unified School District ( 4400 Alma Avenue). The agenda includes the following items:
- Employment of the new superintendent;
- Presentation by Redwood High School and recognition of the an outstanding student and volunteer as well as the Masonic Teacher of the Year, Matt DeVerdi;
- Recognition of National Merit Scholarship Finalists;
- Public Hearing on the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP);
- Public Hearing on the 2015-2016 Budget;
- Presentation on the Modernization and Reconstruction Options Report;
- Discussion of Graduation Requirements;
- Presentation of Summer Construction Projects;
- Reports by the Student Board Member, CSEA President, CVTA President, Superintendent and Board Members.

The Board of Education normally meets the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings may be moved due to the school calendar or other conflicts. Please check the calendar of board meetings for the most current information or contact the District Office (510.537.3000).
Agendas for Regular Board Meetings are posted at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting. Agendas for Special Board Meetings are posted at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. The agenda and the board packet are posted on the district website.
