REGULAR BOARD MEETING AGENDA

The Board of Education will hold a Regular Board Meeting on Thursday, March 26, 2015, in the Board Room of the Castro Valley Unified School District Office ( 4400 Alma Avenue). Closed Session starts at 6:00 p.m. with Open Session in the Board Room at 7:00 p.m.
The Board of Education normally meets the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings may be moved due to the school calendar or other conflicts. Please check the calendar of board meetings for the most current information or contact the District Office (510.537.3000).
Due to spring break, there will be only one Regular Board Meeting on April 23, 2015. There will be a Special Board Meeting on April 9, 2015, related to the the superintendent search.
Board meetings are open to the public and the public may comment on issues under consideration by the board at the meeting at the time the board discusses the agenda item. For items not on the agenda, the public may comment on issues under the jurisdiction of the board under "Public Comment on Items not on the Agenda," which has been moved earlier in the agenda to just prior to the Consent Agenda. Speakers are requested to submit a "Request to Speak" form prior to the agenda item.
Agendas for Regular Board Meetings are posted at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting. Agendas for Special Board Meetings are posted at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. The agenda and the board packet are posted on the district website. In addition to this online board packet, board packets are available for review at the District Office and the Castro Valley Library.

Agenda for Board Meeting on March 26, 2015
The agenda includes the following items:
- A presentation by Jensen Ranch Elementary School with recognition of an outstanding student and volunteer;
- A Public Hearing and Approval of Classified, Management and Confidential Employee Salary Schedules; and superintendent's salary;
- A presentation on the Student Success Team (SST) model;
- An update on the Purchasing Department;
- A report on the tax savings due to the sale of bonds;
- Approval in the Facility Use Fees;
- Approval of a Declaration of Need for Fully Qualified Educators;
- Certification of Qualification of Athletic Coaches;
- Approval of Minutes for March 12 and March 16;
- Reports from the Student Board Member, CSEA President, CVTA President, Superintendent, and Trustees.
- The Consent Agenda includes
- Approval of Purchase Order Report, Position Control Report, Personnel Report, and Budget Adjustments.
