REGULAR BOARD MEETING AGENDA

The Board of Education will hold a Regular Board Meeting on Thursday, March 12, 2015, in the Board Room of the Castro Valley Unified School District Office ( 4400 Alma Avenue). Closed Session starts at 6:00 p.m. with Open Session in the Board Room at 7:00 p.m.
The Board of Education normally meets the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings may be moved due to the school calendar or other conflicts. Please check the calendar of board meetings for the most current information or contact the District Office (510.537.3000).
Board meetings are open to the public and the public may comment on issues under consideration by the board at the meeting at the time the board discusses the agenda item. For items not on the agenda, the public may comment on issues under the jurisdiction of the board under "Public Comment on Items not on the Agenda," which has been moved earlier in the agenda to just prior to the Consent Agenda. Speakers are requested to submit a "Request to Speak" form prior to the agenda item.
Agendas for Regular Board Meetings are posted at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting. Agendas for Special Board Meetings are posted at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. The agenda and the board packet are posted on the district website. In addition to this online board packet, board packets are available for review at the District Office and the Castro Valley Library.

Agenda for Board Meeting on March 12, 2015
The agenda includes the following items:
- A presentation by Canyon Middle School with recognition of an outstanding student and volunteer;
- Adoption of resolution Declaring April 2015 to be Public Schools Month;
- A report on the Eden Area Regional Occupational Program (ROP);
- A report on the Report on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS);
- Approval on the Second Interim Report for 2014-2015;
- A discussion on a Visioning or Strategic Planning Process for the Board of Education;
- An update of the process for the superintendent search; and
- Reports from the Student Board Member, CSEA President, CVTA President, Superintendent, and Trustees.
- The Consent Agenda includes
- Approval of Purchase Order Report, Position Control Report, Personnel Report, Donations, Overnight Field Trip, Out-of-State Conference, Special Education Compromise and Release Agreement;
- Adoption of resolutions to Dispose Obsolete and/or Surplus Property, to Solicit Bids for the Removal and Replacement of the Roofs at the Castro Valley High School, Wing 800 and the District Office; and,
- Adoption of Minutes.
