Update on the Governor's Proposed Budget
January 21, 2015

The Board of Education will hold a Special Board Meeting on January 21, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room at the District Office (4400 Alma Avenue, Castro Valley). Dr. Candi Clark, Assistant Superintendent for Business Services, will provide information regarding Governor Brown's Proposed Budget for K-12 Education and the impact on the district budget. After the presentation, the board will meet in Closed Session to provide direction to the district team negotiating with CVTA. The agenda is available here.

The Board of Education normally meets the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings may be moved due to the school calendar or other conflicts. Please check the calendar of board meetings for the most current information or contact the District Office. The next Regular Board Meeting is Thursday, January 29.
Board meetings are open to the public except for Closed Session. The public may comment on issues under consideration by the board at the meeting at the time the board discusses the agenda item. For items not on the agenda, the public may comment on issues under the jurisdiction of the board (i.e., Public Comment on Items not on the Agenda. Speakers are requested to submit a "Request to Speak" form prior to the agenda item. At a Special Board Meeting, the public may speak only on items on the agenda.
Agendas for Regular Board Meetings are posted at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting. Agendas for Special Board Meetings are posted at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. The agenda and the board packet are posted on the district website. Board packets are available for review at the District Office and the Castro Valley Library.
