The following items will be a part of the Regular Meeting of the Castro Valley Unified School District Board of Education to be held on January 14, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. The complete board packet will be available on Friday, January 9, 2015. PUBLIC NOTICE: Proposal For Implementing School Facilities Fees As Authorized By Education Code Section S 17620 And Government Codes 65995 The Board will consider implementation of development fees established by the District against residential construction and reconstruction at $3.36 per square foot and against new commercial or industrial construction at $0.54 a square foot. PUBLIC NOTICE: Variable Term Waiver Request Darren Rees - Certificate of Completion on Staff Development
In special circumstances, the Commission on Teacher Credentialing provides for variable term waivers for those who do not yet have the appropriate credential. Darren Rees is seeking coursework to qualify for the Certificate of Completion on Staff Development to provide instruction to English Learners.* * * * *
The Board of Education normally meets the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings may be moved due to the school calendar or other conflicts. Please check the calendar of board meetings for the most current information or contact the District Office.
Board meetings are open to the public and the public may comment on issues under consideration by the board at the meeting at the time the board discusses the agenda item. For items not on the agenda, the public may comment on issues under the jurisdiction of the board (i.e., Public Comment on Items not on the Agenda, or 9:30 p.m., whichever occurs first). Speakers are requested to submit a "Request to Speak" form prior to the agenda item.
Agendas for Regular Board Meetings are posted at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting. Agendas for Special Board Meetings are posted at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. The agenda and the board packet are posted on the district website. Board packets are available for review at the District Office and the Castro Valley Library.
