When I was a teacher, I taught American Government, United States History, Economics and International Relationships. I always looked forward to election season because I could easily engage my students with current events and the connection to what they were learning.
One point that I always stressed was that it was both a right and responsibility to vote. Many came before us to ensure that we have the right to vote; therefore, we have an obligation to meet our responsibility.
I strongly encourage you to review the candidates and issues on the ballot, and vote on November 4th. Your vote does make a difference.
