Inter-District Transfers
Superintendent Jim Negri reviewed the current polices and procedures related to inter-district transfers. Based on the demographer's report at the March 14, 2013 meeting, Superintendent Negri discussed the need to balance enrollment throughout all grades to ensure balanced enrollments in grades 6-12.
Director of Student Services Dr. Tony Shah presented enrollment statistics and revenue for inter-district transfers per school. Dr. Shah also emphasized that the district has to balance enrollment with revenue due to space concerns at both the middle and high schools.
The district plans to continue accepting inter-district transfer students at the K-5 grade levels for 2013-2014, but stop accepting inter-district transfers at the middle schools and continue the practice of not accepting transfers at high school.
