Annual Meeting Financial Assistance for Authorized Ministers and
Members in Discernment:
The Scholarship Committee has authorized financial assistance from the Continuing Education fund to assist Authorized Ministers and Members in Discernment who will not be able to attend Annual Meeting without some assistance. If you wish to request assistance, please send an email to Lillie DeMetz Chairperson of the Scholarship Committee at ldametz@bpmail.org
Artist? Photographer? Knitter? Woodworker?
What is your passion?
There will be a display of arts, crafts - whatever it is that you enjoy making in your "spare" time. Judy Scott will bring some easels, but you may also bring your own display stands - an especially good idea if your "passion" needs displaying on something other than an easel. Share your interests, your hobbies, your passion with us all at the Annual Meeting this year! The area will be available Friday and Saturday during the day - come and go as you wish.
Let Judy know if you plan to participate, send her an email at pastorjudy@bluevalley.net.
Annual Meeting Book
The Annual Meeting Book will be available online at kocucc.com on September 12th (click on annual meeting). Hard copies will be available at the meeting. If you cannot access the PDF copy of the book online and need a hard copy in advance, call the Conference Office and one will be sent via mail.

Should Your Legacy Include Your Church?
|
|
A favorite old hymn starts, "The church is our foundation, ..." But many of our churches rely on our annual gifts to fund the many worthy ministries. ...often, there's not quite enough to do what we'd like to do.
An endowment can provide an ongoing revenue stream for the church or its ministries like outreach or worship. When a man I knew, an avid swimmer, passed away, he left a portion of his estate to the city. An endowment was created that funded a new swimming pool, police cars, as well as park, utility and community improvements. Over the last 25 years, the city spent more than the original gift, yet the endowment's investments still exceed the amount of that gift. Your legacy can build your church's foundation.
The Foundation Board works with individuals and churches to enable your legacy to include your favorite ministry.
