Earth's Body,  and   Women's Bodies
A conference on Environmental Feminist Activism
April 5-6, 2013

How is violence against women connected with destruction of our environment?
  The future of life on earth calls for uniting those working in environmental movements and those working in movements for ending violence against women.  The goal of this conference is to build networks of concerned activists, to raise awareness, and to connect new people with opportunities to make a difference.

 In HOPE of the Resurrection 
  
Stephanie I. Eslinger, 70, of Des Moines died of respiratory failure on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center after an extended illness. A private memorial gathering will be held at a later date at Plymouth Congregational Church of which she was a member
.

 

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 43 years, Ronald of Des Moines; daughter, Elise Eslinger (Don Perkins) of Northfield, MN; son, Evan Eslinger of Blue Springs, MO; sister, Merab Drennen of Butler; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Lutherlyn P.O. Box 355 Prospect, PA 16052, a church camp founded by her father.

Lisa Michele Wolfe earned a Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and Northwestern University's joint program in Religious and Theological Studies. Dr. Wolfe is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and currently works as Associate Professor of Hebrew Bible at Oklahoma City University. She is a self-described Bible Nerd.
