Need a spiritual lift in the midst of a busy day? You can find one at your fingertips on UCC. org. The United Church of Christ's new 'Feed Your Spirit' page offers readers a new variety of ways to add faith and God to everyday life.
Elements that will be found on the page:
- StillSpeaking Daily Devotional - the original Daily Devotional now in its 6th year.
- Spiritual 8-Ball - ask it a yes or no question, get a scriptural answer; new answers rotated in quarterly.
- Peek, Ponder, Pray - a new photo, 2-sentence reflection, and prayer every day.
- Praying the News - twice weekly, brief commentary on current news story, including popular culture and sports, with link to the story and a prayer.
- Spiritual Practices - brief, easy instructions on practices like Lectio Divina, Tibetan Prayer Flags, Fasting, Keeping Shabbat, Prayer beads, the Jesus Prayer, Midrash, and more.
- Which Bible Character Are You? - Interactive quiz that tells you who you most resemble from the Bible and gives you a follow-up bit of advice.
- Dear Theo - an advice column with new readers' questions weekly.

Ruth Duck to Lead
Chicago Theological Seminary
2013 Spring Worship Conference |

In our efforts to offer exciting and relevant opportunities for the Seminary community, the 2013 Spring Conference will be focused on Worship. Headlining the event will be CTS alumnus and Professor of Worship at Garrett Theological Seminary, Dr. Ruth Duck. She will lead-off our two-day discussion at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, April 19.
For those unable to attend the event on-campus, selected portions of the conference will be available via live streaming over the internet. Those who register for this option will be given a link to access all three of the plenary sessions and selected worship services.

The Rev. Dr. Nancy Claire Pittman Named Next Dean At Phillips Theological Seminary

Phillips Theological Seminary (PTS) in Tulsa announced that The Rev. Dr. Nancy Claire Pittman will be the next dean.
The current dean, Dr. Don A. Pittman, will retire on July 31, 2013.
PTS is in the midst of implementing a strategic plan that includes new degree and non-degree programs and an enhanced effort to connect with new communities, both locally throughout Tulsa and nationally. Currently, Dr. Nancy Pittman is Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program. Her experience in ministry has included both seminary teaching and congregational leadership. Dr. Pittman is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and an accredited spiritual director.

2013 INTERFAITH Adult and Young Adult Tour March 3, 2013

The Oklahoma Conference of Churches is conducting an Interfaith Tour for adults & young adults on March 3, 2013. The tour will visit three different houses of worship: The Baha'i Center, The Dharma Buddhist Center, and Holy Temple Baptist Church. Transportation will be provided. The tour begins at Holy Temple Baptist Church located at 1540 NE 50th Street in Oklahoma City. Check-in begins at 1:00 pm. The tour will be completed by 5:30 after returning to Holy Temple Baptist. Groups are encouraged to attend. For individual registration and payment ($15 per person), complete the online registration form. For group reservations, contact the OCC office.
