Are you and your pet ready for the Holidays? Our kitties are trying very hard to be good so they get some good gifts from Santa. They got dressed up for this photo we took a couple weeks ago. They behaved, but weren't too interested in looking at the camera. We wish you and your pet have a Happy Holidays.

Pet Crafts

Make some new toys or beds for your pets. We will provide fabric, thread and other crafting supplies. You are welcome to bring your own fabric, supplies or patterns. We will have people running sewing machines to help with sewing. Cost: FREE!

Learning Their Language - What your Pets wish you Knew

Dr Foote will discuss ways to prevent aggression, anxiety, and proper pet greetings. Question and Answer session after the talk. Cost is $5 per family. Children are encouraged to come!

Santa Paws - Hands 4 Paws event

Bring your pets and children for photos with Santa at Jarman Center. Photos are $5 each. Purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a dog or cat gift basket. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Baskets include toys, food, treats, $25 gift certificate to Petsmart and more! Tickets are available now at the Okaw Veterinary Clinic in Tuscola and will be available during Santa Paws.

Angel Tree - Hands 4 Paws event

Hands 4 Paws has their Angel Tree up at Shopko in Tuscola. Drop off your donations for the Douglas County Animal Shelter now through the end of December.

Shelter Wishlist: paper towels, cleaning supplies, cat food, laundry detergent, litter, leashes, collars, treats, toys

Pet Memorial Tree

We will have our Pet Memorial Tree up this month. The tree will be decorated with photo ornaments of pets who have passed away. We will have a Memorial Service to remember these pets and other pets.
Anyone who lost a pet is welcome to attend the service. The service will be on Saturday Jan 2nd at 3 pm.

If you would like your pet to be featured on the tree, please send or bring a COPY of a photo of your pet. The photo WILL BE CUT to make the ornament. You will be able to pick up the ornament in January. There is no cost to have your pet's photo on the tree. Your pet does not have to have passed away this year to be featured on the tree. Photos can be dropped off during our normal business hours, mailed to us at 140 W. Sale, Tuscola, IL 61953 or emailed at okawvetstaff@mchsi.com
