Dog Toy Review

This toy is very easy for dogs who have never used a food puzzle. You can purchase more pieces to fit together to make the puzzle harder. There are fins inside the puzzle to help slow the release of food or treats. We have started using it during our exams. We spread peanut butter inside for dogs to lick while they are examined and receive vaccines.

Why I Became a Veterinarian
 
 
From the time I was 12 years old; I made a decision to become a veterinarian and never really seriously considered anything else. I did look into other medical science related fields as a backup plan in case I did not pass the rigorous admissions tests, applications and interviews for veterinary college admission. My heart and soul was always to become a veterinarian.

Santa Paws - Hands 4 Paws event

 

Bring your pets and children for photos with Santa Claws. Santa will be at Jarman Center on Dec 6th from 9 am to 2 pm. Each photo is $5.

 

Appointments are available from 9 am - 2p m. Call 508-8489 to set up your appointment. Walk-ins are welcome after noon.

 

Jarman is located at 704 N. Main St in Tuscola. Enter the door under the blue striped awning off Parke St.


Pet Craft Event


Make some new toys or beds for your pets. We will provide fabric, thread and other crafting supplies. You are welcome to bring your own fabric, supplies or patterns. We will have people running sewing machines to help with sewing. We will be at the dining room in Jarman Center on Sunday Dec 7th from 2 - 4 pm. There is no fee for the event.

Pet Memorial Tree and Service

We will have our Pet Memorial Tree decorated with photo ornaments of pets who have passed away. The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday Jan 3rd at 3 pm. Anyone who lost a pet is welcome to attend the service.  
 
If you would like your pet to be featured on the tree, please send or bring a COPY of a photo of your pet. The photo WILL BE CUT to make the ornament. You will be able to pick up the ornament in January. 
 
Photos can be dropped off during our normal business hours, mailed to us at 140 W. Sale, Tuscola, IL  61953 or emailed at okawvetstaff@mchsi.com

Angel Tree - Hands 4 Paws event

 

Hands 4 Paws has their Angel Tree at Shopko from through the end of December for donations for the Douglas County Shelter. Items needed include: paper towels, Mr. Clean Antibacterial cleaner, cat dry food, canned dog and cat food, litter, laundry detergent, blankets
