Our Prenatal Massage is performed side lying and is tailored to your specific needs. Our team is specially trained in prenatal techniques.

Prenatal Skincare:
Hormonal changes during pregnancy can affect a woman's complexion, therefore it's important to adjust your skincare regimen.  Our Organic Facials contain no toxic ingredients so they're safe for moms-to-be.
 
Our team works closely with many OB/GYNs in the area, ensuring our holistic care offers the perfect complement to traditional healthcare - before, during, and after pregnancy.

Foods To Eat During Pregnancy
  • Whole Grains offer fiber, folic acid and iron.
  • Berries - as they are packed with Vitamin C, potassium and fiber.
  • Beans which are full of protein, fiber, and key ingredients like zinc, iron, calcium, and folate.
  • Low-fat yogurt is high in calcium and protein.
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Sweet potatoes.
  • Walnuts.
  • Bananas are chock full of potassium and may help with nausea during the first trimester.
  • Avocados offer B & C vitamins and fiber.
Foods To Avoid While Expecting
  • Unpasteurized cheese like feta, blue cheese or brie as they can be linked to food-borne illness.
  • King Mackerel or Swordfish due to high mercury content.
  • Caffeine. Doctors say that pregnant women should consume more than 200 milligrams of caffeine daily.
  • Unpasteurized juice.
  • Processed deli meats.
  • Smoked fish or raw shellfish.
  • Liver as it contains too much Vitamin A.
  • Uncooked eggs (this includes raw cookie dough).
Recipe Of The Month

Morning Sickness Smoothie
(serves 1)

 

This easy smoothie combines ginger to alleviate nausea, bananas to replenish potassium and peaches too soothe the stomach while providing a good source of fiber.

 

Ingredients: 

cup low fat plain yogurt
1 cup diced pears  (can substitute 1/2 c. pear nectar)
1 peach sliced  (can substitute 1/2 c. peach nectar)
1 banana
1 teaspoon lemon juice
to 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (to taste)

Ice (to desired consistency)  

Directions: Place all ingredients in a blender.  Cover and blend to desired consistency.  Enjoy.
