Walk For Christ hosted it's annual banquet fundraiser at the Jaycee Hall. We had a packed house Evangelist Xavier Baez brought a great message. We want to thank all the pastors and churches who came and supported WFC. We are grateful for the WFC team and their commitment to reach 10 Million Souls for Jesus. Thank you to everyone who was able to give financially to help send us to reach the lost for Jesus Christ. We put those funds into action that same Saturday May 3 2014 with Rock The Block Anti-Bullying Outreach
We had 300 plus kids come. We had the city of Hollywood Police Officer Marie speak about the Anti-Bullying and give a skit we also had Officer Karen Bonilla speak about Anti-drugs and the effects it has on our youth.
Thank you to the Royal Rangers outpost 45 for their outstanding community service lead by Jose Mendez from Maranatha Church. Also Maranatha church for assisting in the Kid Zone and Praise Tabernacle International for helping to serve the food.
The city of Hollywood Fire Department came and spoke to the kids about the Fire safety they let them get in the truck and for the kicker they open up the fire hose and wet the kids they had a blast.
God used pastor Hector Lopez to bring the word of God to minister to the people. Maranatha Church praise and Worship team was awesome the presence of God was there. It was expected to rain 60% chance at 7 am but we prayed and asked God to hold it it off and God is faithful He held it to the end we had a quick 5 minute rain shower and the sun came back out.
We had two nurses present Margaret Mimoso and Magaly Valentin who were giving free basic health exams and also they were able to administer first aid to a child in need of medical assistance.
We could not have done Rock The Block without our sponsor Angelican Church of the word. They had a great team cooking wings, hot dogs, rice all kinds of candy and drinks they did an amazing job. Also on hand was Broward Sheriff Office giving our free finger print kits for the kids .
We had bounce house, free food, huge Kid Zone, free clothes, Dee Jay Obadiah brought the house down with over five thousand watts of power. Thank you to Kingdom Tents for your sponsorship and all the volunteers who worked so hard such as Brothers Imitating Christ, the different churches, organizations, and ministries that were involved to help make it happen.
Jocelyn Lopez hosted our outreach and God used her. The Lord minister through testimonies, hip hop artist, praise & Worship and through the Word of God. Deliverance took place in the midst of worship.
