Since its launch at IPEX 2010, we have been listening carefully to what you have to say about our Europa fully automated laminator. IPEX 2010 saw it as a prototype B3 laminator but you told us that you wanted it to be capable of running B2 and so when it went into production later that year it was in the same B2 format of our faster Jupiter models.
Since then, the Europa has experienced unprecedented success with worldwide sales in excess of 200 machines. It won the coveted Gold Medal award at the Poligrafia International Fair in 2013 due, in part, to the testimonials it received from its owners.
We listened to photobook producers who said that double-sided laminators didn't give them the same finish on both sides of the sheet and so despite most of their sheets needing to be laminated on both sides, a single-sided laminator was the only option to achieve the quality required. This led us to conceive the Europa PB with two identical laminating heads, each comprising a chrome laminating roller and rubber nip roller individually controlled for heat and pressure to give an identical finish to each side of the sheet. The double-sided Europa PB was launched at IPEX last year when it was shown alongside the standard single-sided Europa and the Europa EL, a single-sided version with an additional embossing station.
With the speed also increasing to 20m/minute, Europa range laminators can now laminate up to 3,800 SRA3 sheets per hour or around 1,700 at B2.
We listened once again most recently when you told us that you would like the Europa to laminate longer, non-standard sheets and so 3 longer feed table lengths (880mm, 950mm & 1050mm) are now optionally available making Europa range laminators truly versatile.
