D & K Europe is exhibiting at Sign & Digital for the second time, again showcasing its range of French-built wide format laminators.

 

The Atlas HT model, with a top roller heat up to 140º C, is being demonstrated on Stand G50 linked to a newly developed wide format trimmer producing sheets from the laminated web exiting the laminator.

 

The Atlas trimmer will be shown at 165 cms width to match the laminator and in an "x-y" version with length capable of being controlled by the reading of crop marks programmable into many printers RIPs, and central and side trimming set manually.

 

 

 

The unit is also capable of being run off-line; designed to be compatible with Atlas Laminators, it shares a common mandrel design and so roll to roll laminated webs can be taken off the back of a laminator then loaded onto the trimmer using the same mandrel.     

 

Details of the 110 and 165 versions designed to sheet encapsulated prints from a web will also be available

 

Also on Stand G50 is the  Atlas 'C' (cold) machine.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Masterpiece® 550 Mechanical Presses are the versatile and dependable choice of framing professionals for the creative mounting and laminating of photos, artwork and posters, among other materials. 

 

There are the original soft-bed dry mounting/laminating presses with adjustable 66-149°C temperature control. The presses can accept larger jobs - just complete the task one area at a time. Pressure adjusts to fit materials up to 2.5 cm thick. Standard features include built-in electronic temperature control with digital display and touchpad controls. Six pre-set programs for efficient operation, or set your own desired time & temperature.  

 

Robin French says "The picture framing and photographic markets never were really separated when it came to the presentation of images. There were differences in handling litho prints and resin coated papers, of course, but with the increasing prevalence of digital output we are finding our equipment and materials are ever more relevant."
