D&K launches new machines at IPEX

First shown at IPEX 2010, the Europa B2 laminator has since racked up over 200 installations world-wide. Following its success new versions are being launched at IPEX 2014 on stand S1-G135.

Europa PB

Having its world launch at the show is our new double-sided Europa. It will have two separate laminating stations, each with a metal laminating roller and rubber nip roller to give the same result on each side of the sheet and is therefore ideal for Photobook applications. Based on the award winning single-sided Europa and like all models in the Europa range, it can be supplied for standard B2 size or extended to allow for sheet lengths of 880mm, 950mm or 1050mm to be processed.

Europa EL

Another version of this proven range the EL has a standard laminating station and an embossing station to allow either conventional single-sided lamination or laminating and embossing in a single pass.

Triton B1 laminator

Launched in 2011, this is however its first showing in the UK. Triton is available with either portrait or landscape feed and either as a Single-sided or Double-sided laminator.

165cms Wide Format Cutter

Robin French, Managing Director, said: "Our stand is adjacent to the "World of Wide Format" so we decided to increase our stand space to include our new product launch of the 165cms Wide Format Cutter. We are hoping it will attract strong interest from that area. The cutter has been designed for horizontal and vertical cutting of wide format sheets, encapsulated, laminated or un-laminated. We will be demonstrating it in-line with the Atlas MF165 laminator and will be configured to cut encapsulated prints."

The standard B2 Europa single-sided laminator will be shown on stand S2-E190 - Encore Machinery - one of D&K's UK distributors

D&K manufactures a wide range of films in OPP, Polyester, Nylon and PVC utilising both thermal and pressure sensitive adhesive technologies and include the market leading SuperStick® range for digital output.

Experienced staff will be on hand to discuss any bespoke machinery requirements or custom coating needs.

D&K joins BPIF

D&K is pleased to announce that it is now a member of the BPIF (British Printing Industries Federation).

The BPIF is the principal business support organisation representing the UK print, printed packaging and graphic communication industry. It is one of the country's leading trade associations.

The federation strive to ensure their members' requirements come first. Through listening to their needs they have developed an unrivalled range of products and services that go well beyond those provided by a traditional trade association.

They provide the highest standard of support for printers to grow and develop healthy, sustainable and profitable businesses, aiming to provide an environment geared towards their businesses success. The BPIF offer practical, value-adding solutions for all areas of a print organisation, ranging from Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality issues; with the implementation of HR requirements; provide resolutions of technical or legal issues; as well as advice and support on marketing, sales and finance. This is all delivered by individuals and teams of highly skilled and experienced print industry specialists.

New services recently launched include BPIF Insurance Service and the BPIF Financial Alliance to add to a wide range of business support services including healthcare and pensions. They also offer a wide range of opportunities for networking both regionally and nationally, including prestigious events, special interest groups and popular short courses on a wide range of topics.

Sign & Digital 2014

D&K will be again be exhibiting at the Sign & Digital exhibition which takes place at the NEC, Birmingham - 29th, 30th April & 1st May 2014.

Sign & Digital UK is the annual trade show for sign making, display solutions and digital printing. Showcasing the latest innovative products, technologies and services, the exhibition attracts the world's top manufacturers and suppliers from across the sign, display and graphics and print industry.

The 2013 exhibition attracted 5,649 unique visitors and was the platform for many new product launches and demos.

Faversham House confirms that Sign & Digital UK is expanding its floor plan by 20% following increasing demand - over 120 exhibitors have already booked their space.
