Thursday 20th December is the last despatch date for guaranteed delivery before Christmas (Tuesday 18th for Grampians, Highlands & Isle of Wight).

We will be including some basic machine maintenance tips in our newsletters and the first of these relates to our Proteus B1 fully automated laminator which was launched in 2004.  

 

Proteus - Cleaning Sucker Cylinders

 

Suckers Cylinders can get dirty by taking in press powder and ink from the stock so regular cleaning is important for continued smooth operation. 

 

Follow the air pipes supplying the compressed air.  Disconnect the right tip of the thickest pipe from connector, then pour white spirit (or similar cleaner) through the open tip of the pipe - and blow compressed air through it.   Please remember to put some rag under the sucker cylinder to catch the liquid.   Repeat this a few times until the liquid becomes clear.

There is not yet any form of consensus about the rate of the economic recovery in Europe, but most commentators are agreed that it seems to have started in some small way. Other parts of the world, of course, have not experienced such a degree of slowdown and remain quite buoyant.  

 

The very slight feeling of optimism will, we hope, translate into concrete investments and in view of this we expect calendar year 2013 to be very important in terms of trade shows. D & K products will be shown at a number of exhibitions in 2013 in a variety of markets and we are starting to consolidate the programme for next year.
