Chapman Opens Monday, Uphill Only
On Monday the 7th, Chapman Drive will open not only to hikers and equestrians, but also to cycling traffic - in an uphill direction ONLY.
We're hoping that this will lead to more connections and opportunities in the future - perhaps a downhill singletrack, or connections towards Walker Ranch, and further. In the meantime, it's imperative that when we use Chapman as a cyclist, we follow the rules so BMA's policy people have the best opportunity to turn this into something great.
In the meantime, enjoy this 2.5 mile climb with just over 1000 feet of elevation, and great views of Boulder Canyon. Get out there and check it out!
Check out OSMP's pictures here, and coverage in the Camera here.

Cyclocross at Valmont Saturday!
Cyclocross is back at Valmont this weekend with a pre-nationals race. With proceeds benefiting the park, we'd love to see a few folks come out to assist for a couple hours during the day. Hit reply and let us know when you can help out.

Variable Conditions Ahead!
It's that time of the year again - with the recent moisture and swinging temperatures, conditions on the trails will be changing rapidly and often. Once we all work together to update BMA's Trail Conditions, we'll all have a resource to know where to find the best places to ride!
Differences in moisture and drying times in along the front range will impact where you'll find the best conditions. Consider options near and far when you're really itching for a ride.
Once you are out riding, it's always best to avoid muddy trails when you can, and when you do find muddy areas, remember to stay on the trail and ride through the mud.
