General Info (Changes Start on Sunday September 13):
By now all of you should have received a letter concerning our new fall worship schedule beginning on Sept. 13, 2015. The following is a quick reminder of the worship time change and additional information on Faith Formation classes and locations for all ages. We look forward to seeing you there!
Saturday 6:00 PM - Worship (No Change)
Sunday 8:15 AM - Worship (Traditional Service of Holy Communion)
Sunday 9:30 AM - Fellowship and Study for All Ages
Sunday 10:30 AM - Worship (Prayer, Praise and Thanksgiving)
On September 13th...
- Youth age 2 1/2 through Grade 6 will meet in FDC Room 213 (second on left). This "one-room" educational experience will happen every month on the second Sunday morning of our program year.
- 7th and 8th Grade will meet in the Music Room/FDC 205 (first on left)
- Senior High students will meet in the basement (and will continue to meet on the second Sunday morning each month in the basement);
- Adults will meet in the Sanctuary for a biblically-based "Faith Trivia" session (question and answer).
- A staffed nursery will be available during the Message portion of our 10:30 AM service for children birth through age 5. (unsupervised at all other times).
And, don't forget to join us at Camp Ockanickon beginning at 12:30 that afternoon for our annual picnic! More info and a signup is available on the Bulletin Board!
Beginning on September 20th...
- Our regular educational experiences for youth at 9:30 AM will be held as follows:
- 2 1/2 & 3 year olds will meet in the nursery
- Pre-K and Kindergarten will meet in FDC Room 218 (last on right)
- Grades 1 & 2 in FDC Room 208 (first on right)
- Grades 3 & 4 will meet in FDC 213 (second on left)
- Grades 5 & 6 will meet in 214 (second on right).
- 7th and 8th Grade will meet in the Music Room/FDC Room 205 (first on left); When Confirmation Learning Sessions are held, Grade 7 will meet in the Basement and Grade 8 will meet in the Music Room/FDC Room 205 (first on left).
- Adults will continue to meet in the Sanctuary (including grades 9-12 when Senior High does not meet). The following is an introduction to the fall adult study schedule:
- 9/20 - International Day of Peace with Guest Speaker
- 9/27 - Hope Alive Clinic Presentation with Frank Jacobs, Director
- 10/4 - Council Caring Conversation - Mutual Ministry Survey Results
- 10/11 - Confronting Racism Conversation Part 1 (ELCA Video)
- 10/18 - Confronting Racism Conversation Part 2 (ELCA Video)
- 10/25 - Reformation Focus - "Lutheran mythbusting or ... 10 things you thought you knew about Martin Luther"
