La Bonne Nouvelle
30 Seconds on a Haitian road

Our fifteen-year-old grandson, Joel III, just left Haiti after spending one month with us. Though Yvonne and I both contracted the debilitating chikungunya virus, Baby Joel did not! He operated a Sony camera as we filmed two shows; he does this Sundays at his church in Atlanta, Mount Perrin North. It was a great joy for us to host the pure hearted young Christian who loves Haiti so, he asked, "What business can I do to live here?" Our last night in Cap Haitian, Yvonne went looking for him; he was outside conversing with a worker in Creole! Please pray for him as he begins his sophomore year of high school and plays on the high school football team.

As this summer draws to a close, we are consumed with our God given projects; I just completed a two day online seminar to better learn drone photography and Yvonne is querying literary agents for her manuscript. I used the drone for aerial footage of the city of Cap Haitian, the agricultural project in Limonade and at the historic sites of the Citadelle and Sans Souci. The equipment brings La Bonne Nouvelle to a new level, giving our viewers a professional documentation of their country's beauty.

Manuscript

Since April, Yvonne has dedicated several hours every day to the second and third rewrite of her memoir, our testimonies and first ten years in Haiti. As she continues to labor on the 85K word manuscript and seeks a publisher, please keep us both in prayer. The virus has some lingering effects like arthritic joint pain and fatigue, though we continue to put in twelve-hour days.

In Cap Haitian, Baby Joel shot a segment at an outdoor barbeque; while Yvonne and I sat at the table with the owner, fans stopped to thank us. One man said, "When I watched the Nassau show and heard your testimony I got goose bumps!" Another pulled up and said, "I had to stop and thank you for what you are doing for my country. It is incredible!"

Preach & Teach

What La Bonne Nouvelle does for Haiti is to declare the glory of the Lord through His beautiful creation; we draw Haitian viewers with images of their beautiful land and then speak the word of the Lord to them. La Bonne Nouvelle gives Haitians hope that the country is changing for the better; pride that it is not a charity case. And we give them faith that Jesus Christ is the only answer for their lives and their country's future.

Your prayers and monthly financial help are deeply appreciated. Next month will be 39 years since I landed here and heard God speak to me, "What I did in your life I will do in these people's lives! I am giving you this country for your inheritance." Thank you as you continue with us in prayer and giving, the rewards are eternal and His blessings are abundant. Please use the secure donation button and write to us today. You will be glad you did!
