the years that the locust hath eaten Joel2:25
Since 1998 Yvonne's Mother has been homeless; for six years she lived in her van, that was impounded in 2004 and she disappeared into the streets of Washington State. One of Yvonne's sisters was sure their Mom was dead; but when their Dad passed in January, Yvonne told her,
"Find Mom through Social Security."
Weeks later, they located her in hospice. Within days Yvonne sent her Mother roses for the first time and booked a flight to Seattle.
On the phone, Yvette assured them she knew the Lord and that she loved them. Yvonne said,
"I never remember my Mother telling me she loved me. God has healed every wound. I will have my Mom for eternity." |
Batteries!
Our home electricity is dependent on invertor Power plant electricity is available about six hours per day! For over twenty years we have generated our own electricity with a diesel generator that charges batteries connected to an invertor.
Last week all 16 batteries gave up the ghost. I did not want to overwork the 12KW generator; so I was compelled to purchase batteries on my credit card at $170.00US each!

Car radiator
as a piece of luggage!
When Yvonne returned from her trip, she brought a new Toyota Land Cruiser radiator as a piece of luggage! The Haitian baggage handler warned, "They are going to seize that in Customs and tax it!" She told him, "God will blind their eyes and give me favor". As Yvonne pushed the cart through Customs, a uniformed agent asked, "What's in the box?" She answered, "Something for my husband. You know him! Frere Joel!" The agent waved her through and our Toyota has a new radiator for less than half the price of purchasing one here! |

Over the top
recognition!
With our 1995 SUV as good as new, we accepted an invitation to film Haiti's Southern coast and the village of Cotes de Fer.
Haitian ex patriots from Boston and Miami packed the village for the annual town festival. One night as we strolled the streets, fans gathered to tell us, "I watch you on TV in the States and now I am meeting you face to face!" Locals called out,"Frere Joel, Frere Joel I watch you on Tele Nationale!"

For His Kingdom
Working while it is yet day! With authorization from Cotes De Fer's Mayor, I set up the giant movie screen and speaker system in the town square for an evangelistic crusade featuring the Creole film Incomparable Grace. The park filled with children, teenagers and adults as the Haitian written, produced and acted film told a modern version of the prodigal son! A group of young men came forward for prayer at the altar call; and for days after towns people asked, "When are you coming back? When will you show us another film?"

Yvonne traveled twenty hours to spend one day with her Mom whom she had not seen since 1981! When Yvonne walked into her room, she gasped, "Oh, Yvonne, you are so beautiful; you remind me of Shirley Temple." Overwhelmed by God's transformation of the Mom who abandoned her when she was nine years old, Yvonne crumbled; her Mom reached out, "Give me a hug, I love reunions!" During their visit, Yvonne explained the plan of salvation, "We started in the Garden but disobedience got us kicked out. Jesus died for our sins so we can get back to the Garden and spend eternity with Him." "That is beautiful!" her Mom exclaimed. |
Your financial gift on our secure website helps us to reach souls for Jesus Christ; there is no greater work than this. Please ask God what you should do to help us preach the gospel and then be obedient and generous. Thank you and we pray that the end of your stories may be filled with His restoration of "the years the locusts have eaten!"
In awe of His plan,
Joel and Yvonne Trimble |
