Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Act
UPDATE:

The Coalition's bill,
the Dylan P. Mitchell
Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Act,
was assigned to a Transportation Subcommittee
in the SC Senate this week.
The House and Senate is busy this session
with a very full transportation agenda, but we are confident that the safety of people who bike and walk
is a topic that will be heard very soon.
Stay tuned so you can lend your voice
to our statewide movement.

Local Spotlight:  Tweed Ryde, Charleston
Weeks ago, a group of Charlestonians got together to ride together in style.  This year's Tweed Ryde biked the historic sections of Charleston while brandishing a serious variety in tweeds.  Join them next year, when they do the same but with a whole new line of tweeds from years past.  A great event, this slow ride is a fine example of how to add more people to bike communities and local bike movements.
Good Read:
Germany's Bike "Autobahn"

Slated to take 50,000 cars off roads daily, the first leg of the "bike autobahn" has been built.  It runs along old railroad tracks and will connect 10 cities!  Read about it here.
