We're excited to be kicking off our Rolling Bike Summit in Greenville on November 17! You have six opportunities to gather with community advocates and leaders to talk about SC's growing bike/ped movement. Check out the summit gatherings near you on scbikesummit.org and Facebook. Everyone is welcome so bring your friends!
Amy and Peter Wilborn of Bike Law will be training Safe Streets ambassadors in each of the 6 cities. Ambassadors will be prepared to bring the SSSL curriculum to local communities featuring S.C. bike law plus safe biking and driving practices. Make the commitment to share the curriculum and get pre-registered for a training session during the summit.

Video highlights need for safe routes.
In advance of the November 4, 2014 referendum for a Greenville County sales tax increase for road improvements, Bike Walk Greenville, with the support of LiveWell Greenville have started an education initiative to inform voters about the need for infrastructure for active transportation.
The short video with computer-generated imagery emphasizes the importance of walking or biking to school for our children.

C4C network learns about innovative bikeway designs.
From bike boxes to protected bike lanes, we learned the full spectrum of bikeway designs built and utilized in cities around the USA. The workshop was taught by two pioneers in the field of bikeway design, employed by ALTA Planning: Nick Falbo, Transportation Planner, and Joe Gilpin, Principal.
