Passaic County Board of Realtors® awards the
First Ever Placemaking Grant to National Park
The Passaic County Board of Realtors®, through the efforts of our Advocacy Committee, proudly presented a check this week to Overlook Park and The Great Falls National Historical Park for a placemaking grant which will be used for the installation of a new park bench. The check was presented this past week at Congressman Bill Pascrell's Paterson office. Darren Boch, Superintendent of the Great Falls National Historical Park and Gianfranco Archimede, Director of the Division of Historic Preservation for the City of Paterson/ Executive Director of Paterson's Historic Preservation Commission accepted this check on behalf of the City of Paterson. This grant was first NAR® Placemaking Grant to be Awarded to a National Historic Park.

Bill Would Keep G-Fees in Housing
 NAR shared its support for legislation in the House requiring money collected by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac through guarantee fees to be used only to guard against credit losses
by Fannie and Freddie, as originally intended, rather than for federal government uses that are not housing-related.
