Dear Friends,
Congratulations to all of our 2016 Saginaw County Republican candidates! We have a fine group of folks running, and I wish them all the very best of luck on their campaigns. Please consider attending one of their events, and/or volunteering for them to show your support. More details on events for Senator Ken Horn and Kyle Harris are listed in this newsletter.
Also, the next regular meeting of the Saginaw County Republican Women will be held on Monday, May 16th at G's Pizzeria, 3832 Bay Road. Please order your food at 5:30pm, so the meeting can begin at 6:30pm. Their speaker this month will be Jimmy Greene, CEO of the Greater Michigan Construction Academy.
On a personal note, thank you SO much for all the flowers, cards and kind words of sympathy about my Father's passing on April 26th. He was a great patriot, and very good Daddy. He will be sorely missed.
Your Chair,

Saginaw Trump Headquarters Open
|
You may not have known, but Saginaw has had a Trump Headquarters since February. It's located at 3039 Bay Road, Saginaw, across from Fashion Square Mall in the Bay Plaza. The office is currently open Wednesday-Saturday from 12:00-6:00pm. As with most campaign headquarters, they need volunteers to make phone calls, which they are still making into upcoming primary states to help move undecided voters for Mr. Trump. The headquarters also provides Trump Gear such as t-shirts, hats, buttons, bumper stickers, and yard signs (all USA-made). They are also a source for updates on polls, GOP news, and Trump News. Stop in or call Debra Mantey, Saginaw County Trump Chair, for more information at 989-751-8961. And after the Republican Convention in June, they will carry general election yard signs and other official campaign materials as well.

The City of Saginaw's Riverfront Development Commission will be conducting the 14th Annual Saginaw Riverfront Beautification Day on Friday, May 20th (with a rain out date of Friday, June 3rd). The purpose is to spruce up the riverfront area. Projects include cleaning up debris, landscaping, tree planting, flower planting and any other cleanup projects that are identified. Even though it's hard work, this is a fun, rewarding day for all who participate.
This year's focus will be: OJIBWAY ISLAND, WATER ST., EZRA RUST GREENSPACE, and the FRANCKE BRIDGE (IF ENOUGH VOLUNTEERS ARE AVAILABLE).
Please consider joining our effort. Your participation can include your own volunteer time, a donation to purchase supplies and materials, or your business volunteering to clean up your own business site along the riverfront. Volunteers will meet on Ojibway Island at 8:30am, Friday, May 20th. The day will begin with donuts and work assignments. And a lunch will be provided between 11:30am-12:30pm!
