Kyle Harris Files to Run for County Commissioner
|

Kyle Harris of Chesaning filed to run for the Saginaw County Board of Commissioners in district 6. Harris, a native of Chesaning, is no stranger to politics, currently employed by the Michigan House of Representatives with prior time spent working in the Michigan State Senate and Secretary of State. Before working for the State, Harris worked for his family's business, Harris Custom Wood Floors based out of Chesaning. Harris is running on the platform of wanting to reduce the county's $140 million in unfunded retiree healthcare liabilities, to help create an environment conducive to economic growth, and working to prevent unnecessary tax increases. "The residents of southwest Saginaw County, or any part of the county for that matter, have enough to worry about with trying to feed their families, provide a college education or save for retirement. They should not have to worry about giving more of their hard earned income to county government", said Harris.
Harris, currently vice-chair of the Saginaw County Republican Party, is running for District 6 which includes the townships of Brady, Brant, Chapin, Chesaning, Fremont, Marion, St. Charles and Swan Creek. It also includes the villages of Chesaning, Oakley and St. Charles. You can contact Kyle by mail at PO BOX 36, Chesaning, MI 48616 or by e-mail at VoteHarrisforCommissioner@gmail.com. You can also check him out on Facebook by searching for Kyle Harris for County Commissioner. |
