News & Events
Dear Fellow Saginaw GOP Republicans,

Post State Convention greetings to everyone, and FINALLY...Happy Spring! We had a very successful and productive convention last weekend. Thank you to all who attended and made it a great event! Congratulations to our National Committee Woman, Kathy Berden, and National Committee Man, Dr. Rob Steele. Special congratulations to all the National Delegates & Alternates who were elected Friday evening.  These are: for TRUMP: Amy Carl & Margaret Copeland, for CRUZ: Gary Glenn & Alan Cropsey, for KASICH: David Porteous & Phil Potvin. The National Convention in Cleveland should prove to be a very historic and exciting event. I will be sending out updates as well, so stay tuned for that!

We also want to congratulate our newest Executive Committee member, Thom Moffit. We look forward to working with you!

One last reminder: Precinct Delegate Affidavits are due to the County Clerk on May 3rd, so let me know if you need any assistance with that. I would happy to help, otherwise just print off the application from the Saginaw County Clerk's website.

Your Chair,
Amy R. Carl

Representative Tim Kelly to Run for Third Term
Republican State Representative Tim Kelly announced that he has filed for re-election as the representative for Michigan's 94th District. Kelly, a former Saginaw County Commissioner, was first elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in 2012 and re-elected to a second term in November 2014.  If re-elected to a third two-year term in November, it will be his last in the Michigan House of Representatives as term limits prevent members from serving more than three terms.

"I'm proud of my record as the legislative voice of the 94th District," he said. "I'm proud to have contributed to Michigan's economic comeback and will continue to support legislation that fosters job growth, quality education and personal freedom."

Kelly currently serves on the House Appropriations Committee and serves as chairman the subcommittee on school aid, vice-chairman of the subcommittee on education and as a member of the subcommittees on Transportation and Health and Human Services. He is also a member of the standing committee on education.
