News & Events
Dear Fellow Saginaw GOP Republicans,

Due to time constraints, there will be NO August meeting of the Saginaw County Republican Party's Executive Committee.  Our next meeting will be in September.

Here's a special plea from our Saginaw County Event Chair, Pete Wiltse:

"We need your help! The event committee needs to know who will be available to help with the Trump event on August 11th (see below). We will be needing people for check-in, ushers, membership table and other duties. The time block would be 2:30-9:00pm. It is not important to the event committee that you support or defend Mr. Trump, just to help our county party with its biggest event in recent history. Those that can attend need only to respond, once we have a list of volunteers we will assign you a post and give you any training or instructions so you are completely comfortable with your responsibilities. There will be food and beverage for all volunteers throughout the event."  If you can help, please contact Kathy Dwan by e-mail

Thanks! - Pete

Sincerely,
Amy Carl, Chair

Volunteers Needed for Saginaw County Fair
The Saginaw County Republican Party will continue its traditional presence at the Saginaw County Fair and needs YOU to help!  The Fair will be August 4-8th this year.  Please contact Amy Carl  at 989-928-7059 if you can help man the booth, even for just a couple of hours.

Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference

It's going to be a fantastic weekend to hear from influential Republicans from across the country, so don't miss out.  The conference now has 4 keynote speakers lined up: Senator Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, Governor Jeb Bush, and Governor Scott Walker!

Registration is in full swing for the 31st Biennial Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference. This year's conference will be held September 18-20.  Many of you have already taken advantage of registering for the conference online and reserving rooms at the historic Grand Hotel. General registration closes on August 14th. The current price is $100 per person, but that will increase once general registration closes. If you have not had the chance to register, you should consider doing so now.  Registration can be done at http://www.mackinac2015.com/.

To book a room within any of the reserved hotel blocks, you must have a conference registration code. A list of these hotels and their contact information, as well as room rates, can be found at mackinac2015.com/hotel-information.

We hope that you are able to join us at the 31st Biennial Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference and we look forward to seeing you on the Island. If you have any questions regarding hotels or conference registration, please do not hesitate to contact Andrea Bommarito by e-mail or at 517-487-5413.

Delegates Appreciation Picnic
The Saginaw County Republican Women's Club will hold its annual Delegates Appreciation Picnic on Thursday, August 20th.  The event will be held at 4520 Midland Rd., Saginaw, from 6:00-9:00pm.  We will be honoring our Precinct Delegates' contribution and dedication to the Republican Party.

As always, there will be Fun, Games, Music and Food. Family and children are welcome.  Bring a friend who might want to sign-up as a Precinct Delegate in 2016!  To help with our food and beverage count, please RSVP to Sandra Kahn by e-mail or phone at 989-790-0285.

The Republican mission seeks to maintain a strong defense, encourage individual achievement and liberty through the free enterprise system, and strengthen families.  If you would like to help us move the area and the country towards these goals, please consider donating to the Saginaw County Republican Committee.  Every donation, no matter how large or small, will help ensure that we can find and elect people to work for those goals.  You can do so by mail to PO BOX 6653, Saginaw, MI  48608 or on the web at newsletter@saginawcountygop.org.
