News & Events
Dear Fellow Saginaw GOP Republicans,

Sorry for the confusion, but our editor made an error in the previous newsletter.  The three nominations for the two vacant seats on the Executive Committee are:
  • Jim Lisee
  • Jim Howell
  • Mike Goschka

At our next meeting, we will elect two new committee members from this group.  Additionally, we will receive nominations for one more seat, as member Paul Mitchell is moving out of Saginaw County.

Sincerely,
Amy Carl, Chair

Registration is in full swing for the 31st Biennial Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference. This year's conference will be held September 18-20.  Many of you have already taken advantage of registering for the conference online and reserving rooms at the historic Grand Hotel. General registration closes on August 14th. The current price is $100 per person, but that will increase once general registration closes. If you have not had the chance to register, you should consider doing so now.  Registration can be done at http://www.mackinac2015.com/.

2016 Republican Presidential Candidates
Speaking of presidential candidates, there are now 17 Republicans announced or expected shortly.  Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker added his name to the list on July 13th, with Ohio Governor John Kasich and former Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore fully expected in coming weeks.  Primaries will not begin until January, 2016, so you have plenty of time to familiarize yourself with the candidates.  Please do so and be ready to help the Republican Party pick the best person for President next year.
