Annual Tridge Picnic
|
Congressman John Moolenaar will pick up where his predecessor Dave Camp left off, and host the Annual Tridge Picnic in Midland. This year's picnic will be on Monday, June 22nd, from 5:00-7:00pm. As usual, it will be near the Tridge, behind the H Hotel downtown. There will be balloons, hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, and fun for the entire family! Tickets are $45 per family. Juneteenth Commemoration in Okemos
|
 Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration of the ending of slavery in the United States, dating back to 1865. This year, the Mid-Michigan Republican Women's Club and the Republican Women's Federation of Michigan are jointly hosting a Juneteenth commemoration in Okemos. The event will be at Gilbert & Blake's Restaurant, 3554 Okemos Road, Okemos.
The event is from 5:00-7:00pm, Friday, June 19th. Featured speaker is Kevin Fobbs, who has written for many publications including the Detroit News, GOPUSA, and Cleveland Examiner. Kevin was also the host of The Kevin Fobbs Show on AM-1400 in Detroit.
There is no charge and no RSVP is required. Light food and non-alchohol beverages are complimentary.
