Town Hall Meeting on Michigan Sales Tax Increase
In May, Michigan voters will see a Constitutional Amendment on the ballot.  The amendment is part of a Michigan Legislature proposal that would raise the sales tax and change how money is spent.  The Saginaw County Republican Party has recommended a NO vote on the amendment.

Some of the money is intended to help fix the state's roads.  But because some of the money is intended for other purposes, there is a lot of controversy about whether this is the best idea. On Wednesday, March 18th, TV5 will partner with WSGW and SVSU to host a town hall style meeting on the proposal.  Come and learn more and have a chance to add your voice to the discussions, as Sam Merrill and Art Lewis host the debate featuring people from all sides.

The event will be held at Saginaw Valley's Malcolm Field Theatre, beginning at 7:00pm and is free to attend.  You can find the theatre on the campus map page.  It will also will air live on television station, MY-5, and  will stream live on wnem.com.
