Saginaw County Republican Convention

The Saginaw County Republican Party shall be convene its Convention at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the Thomas Township Public Safety Building, 8215 Shields Dr, Saginaw, Michigan.
The purpose of this Convention shall be to elect 17 members to the Saginaw County Republican Party Executive Committee for a two (2) year term beginning November 20, 2014 and running until the following post-November election Convention in 2016.
Only duly elected Precinct Delegates elected at the August 5, 2014 Primary Election, those subsequently elevated on a permanent basis at the August 14, 2014 County Convention, and the most recent Republican nominees for County and State legislative offices shall be allowed to vote on matters as may properly come before the County Convention.
If you wish to have your (or another persons) name placed in nomination to be a member of the Executive Committee, please call or e-mail the County Secretary, Sandra Kahn with your intent at 989-790-0285. It is not required that an Executive Committee member be either a Precinct Delegate or a Delegate-at Large. If you wish to be considered for an officer of the County Party, you should call or e-mail the acting Party Chair, Sarah Wurtzel-Brooks of your interest at 989-798-7793.

Common Core State Standards Discussion

 The Saginaw County Republican Women's Club will begin a three month meeting series on Common Core State Standards. The first discussion will be on November 18th, with speaker Betsy Haigh, President of Awaken Leadership Center. Betsy was formerly Dean for The Midland Academy of Advanced and Creative Studies. Former Saginaw Township Board of Education President, Barb Russell, will also address the Common Core State Standards from her perspective as a Board Member. This meeting will be at the home of Sandra Kahn, 4520 Midland Rd, beginning at 1:00pm. There is no charge. |
