News & Events
Dear Fellow Saginaw GOP Republicans,

Don't forget that our headquarters at 3071 Bay Rd, Saginaw, is now open full time!  Hours are 9:00am-9:000pm weekdays.  Please stop by to pick up yard signs, candidate literature, or of course, to volunteer.  We will need lots of help during this busy election season.

Sincerely,

Republican Tailgate Party!

The Saginaw County Republican Party will host a Tailgate Party in the parking lot of our Victory Center, 3017 Bay Rd, Saginaw.  We'll be there on Saturday, October 18th, from 12:00noon-3:00pm.  Come out and meet the candidates, enjoy some hot dogs, soft drinks, popcorn and more.  Plus, we'll have kids' activities and it's all free!  Have fun at our Tailgate Party and then watch your favorite game back at home.

Upcoming County Convention
In November this year, all Precinct Delegates will be called to a "Post Election County Convention".  The purpose of this Convention will be to elect your Saginaw County 2015-2016 Executive Committee and to elect Delegates to the December 6th State Convention, where State Party Leadership will be voted on.  Your new Saginaw County Executive Committee will comprise the Saginaw Republican Party leadership for the next two years.  It is, perhaps, the most important decision you will be asked to make during your tenure as Precinct Delegate.  Many of you are new precinct delegates and may not be well informed about this process.

On Thursday, October 2nd, at the home of Sandra S. Kahn, Secretary, we will hold a pre-convention meeting of Precinct Delegates, delegates-at-large and other interested Republicans to explain what will take place at the "Post Election County Convention".  There will be discussion about what goals you would like the Saginaw County Republican Party to work toward in the next two years and consideration of who can best lead us toward them.  It will also be a rare opportunity to converse and become more familiar with one another.

Please put this date on your calendar to attend if you possibly can.  We look forward to talking with you.  The location and time will be 4520 Midland Rd, at 7:00 p.m.

Great Lakes Bay Speaker Forum to Host Dr. Harry Veryser
The Great Lakes Bay Speaker Forum will host Dr. Harry Veryser on Sunday, October 12th. The event will be at the Bay Valley Resort & Conference Center, 2470 Old Bridge Rd, Bay City, from 7:00-9:00pm.  Dr. Veryser will be talking about economic concepts, theories, and history and how it relates to our present economy.  He will also be discussing where he believes the Obama administration and the progressive/liberal movement is headed, as well as the current minimum wage protests and their impact upon our economy.  Can the American economy be recovered?

Dr. Veryser is an Adjunct Professor of Economics at the University of Detroit-Mercy and has received the Will Herberg Award for outstanding faculty service from the Intercollegiate Studies Institute. He is the author of several books on economics including, "It Didn't Have to Be This Way".  This book will be offered for sale at the event by the author and he will be personalizing them for anyone that requests it.

Tickets are $10 per person or only $7 per person for groups of 4 or more. For tickets, contact either Jim Lisee at 989-799-5351 or Kathy Dwan at 989-326-0342.

Faith & Freedom Coalition Reception
Faith & Freedom Coalition founder, Ralph Reed, is coming to Flint on Tuesday, September 30th.  Please stop in to the Holiday Inn Gateway Centre, 5353 Gateway Blvd, at 12:15pm to join Mr. Reed and Michigan Chairman Paul Mitchell for a brief after work reception to discuss issues important to Michigan Conservatives. The event is free and all are welcome.
