Two File for 5th District Congressional Seat

Small business owner Allen Hardwick has filed to run for Congressman Dan Kildee's seat. This seat represents Michigan's 5th District, including Genesee, Bay, Arenac and Iosco counties and parts of Tuscola and Saginaw counties. Additionally, Tom Whitmire of Genesee County's Flushing Township has filed to run for the 5th District seat. The August 5th primary will sort out which candidate will appear on the November ballot against Dan Kildee, a first term Congressman.

New Home for Saginaw Tea Party Group Members?

As many of you know, the Saginaw Tea Party Group has disbanded. Some members are migrating to other area groups. One such group is the Tri-City 9-12 Group of Mid-Michigan. They meet on the second Sunday of each month from 6:00-8:00pm at Bay Valley Resort, 2470 Old Bridge Road, Bay City.

The mission of the Tri-City 9-12 Group of Mid-Michigan is to provide education on the Constitution and how it impacts us today. For more information you can contact the group by e-mail at meettrycity@yahoo.com. They also have a Facebook page which is a private group, so if you would like access to the page, please send them an email. You can also call Bob Rankey at 989-684-2327. The Tri-City 9-12 Group of Mid-Michigan welcomes anyone who wishes to join their meetings and is hoping you will get involved however you can!

Precinct Delegate Affidavit Forms Due May 6th

THERE'S STILL TIME! If you are interested in becoming a Republican Precinct Delegate for the August 5th election, you need to fill out and file an Affidavit Form. These forms must be signed, notarized, and delivered to the Saginaw County Clerk's office by the ballot deadline date of 4:00pm, May 6th. Please note that due to changes in Michigan law, you can no longer file this form with your city or township clerk. Your Affidavit form can be notarized at the County Clerk's office when you deliver it to them, or, your local bank officer typically has a notary available to its customers. Remember not to sign your form until you have a notary present. If it is difficult for you to go to the County Clerk's office, you can mail your notarized form to: Saginaw County Republican Party, PO Box 6653, Saginaw, MI 48608. We will deliver the Affidavit for you and hold your filing receipt form.

The Saginaw County Republican Party has many open Precinct Delegate seats. Please pass this information on to others who might be interested participants in the Saginaw County Republican Party. Thank you to everyone who has filed to become a Precinct Delegate and for your willingness to lend your voice to the advancement of Republican Party principles.

4th Congressional District Spring Breakfast

The 4th District Executive Committee has just announced a spring event with the Republican 2012 Vice Presidential Nominee, Senator Paul Ryan. The event is on Wednesday, May 28th. It will be a breakfast event from 7:30am-9:00am at Buck's Run Golf Course, 1559 South Chippewa Rd, Mt. Pleasant. Tickets are $50 per person and must be prepaid. No payments accepted at the door.
