News & Events
Dear Friends,

This is our first newsletter in awhile, but we will be gearing up for an election year soon so more will follow.  I hope to keep everyone informed on events in the Saginaw area.

I also want to take this opportunity to welcome Paul Mitchell to the Saginaw County Republican Executive Committee.  Paul was elected by his fellow committee members on February 27th.

House Ways and Means Committee Releases Tax Overhaul Plan
Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp released draft legislation to fix America's broken tax code by lowering tax rates while making the code simpler and fairer for families and job creators. Camp's latest draft, the "Tax Reform Act of 2014," spurs stronger economic growth, greater job creation and puts more money in the pockets of hardworking taxpayers. Based on analysis by the independent, non-partisan Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT), accomplishes those ends without increasing the budget deficit.  You can read more and download either a summary or the full text of the proposed legislation.
